I wouldn't go so far as to say this isn't possible, but it would require some fairly significant alterations to the template to support dynamic volumes, and then you would likely need to get the script output manually for each assignment of the template to the node. One of the script gurus in the Script Lab may be able to get you pointed in the right direction, but I feel like the right answer here might be a feature request for extending the Orion SDK to allow for programmatic template configuration alteration/modification via the Orion API.
