Had same issue. The syslog daemon was fine, only the kiwi web server not working. On our kiwi server I did the following: Open UltiDev Web Server explorer, and deleted all references to kiwi web server. Then exit UltiDev, and uninstall it, using "Uninstall UltiDev Web Server Pro". Then rerun the kiwi install kit. If you uninstall UltiDev web server pro without 1st removing all the web applications in Ultidev, then install will not complete successfully.
