You couldn't have seen it, but I'm pretty sure I just facepalmed so quickly it went supersonic.
That's exactly what the missing piece of the puzzle was. As soon as I checked that box, the script ran like clockwork. I have no idea why I overlooked that checkmark, but thanks for pointing that out.
