- What was life like before using SolarWinds? (Include what you were using and why you decided it was time for a change). I was actually hired for a project at current employer using LEM and luckily enough they kept me and the product. ;-) We used to get quite a few events that were uncorrelated which made troubleshooting hard. After we implemented LEM, we are now able to troll thru data and look for security events we deem important to hear about whereas we ignored everything.
- Which SolarWinds product(s) saved your bacon? We started with the LEM 5.3 platform.
- Did you consider other options, and why did you choose SolarWinds? We looked at other options which were significantly more expensive and required more work than what we deemed necessary it getting a SIEM solution up and running. The important factors we considered were: cost, easy access to support, upgrade path, and compatibility with network hardware/software.
- How has life been since you've rolled out SolarWinds in your environment? Work has been a lot easier while using your LEM solution.
