Is there a reason you cannot remove monitors from the SQL AppInsight Template? I'm attempting to pole a clustered SQL instance and when you pole it using the instance IP certain monitors will not work. It can't check services because they don't exist, disk speed doesn't exist as there is no local disk. I'm sure you understand.
A lot of them you can disable but there are a few you cannot like the Event Log Monitor and even when you do disable them they come up as having a problem but the truth is its just turned off. If I could just delete them from the template they would not show up but that option doesn't seem to exist. I cannot make a copy of the template either.
Is there something I'm missing or is this on purpose?
